Tired of the usual rockets, my son and I decided to make something on a grander scale.
The body is a cardboard tube that held clear window plastic; the fins are made from foam meat trays, hot-glued on; and the nosecone is half of a plastic Easter egg.
What goes up, must come down.
"I told you it didn't need no stinkin' parachute!"
Another little diversion for a Sunday afternoon.

This UFO rocket is probably our favorite.
It's extremely predictable, and night launchings are really nice.
A sampling of our rockets,
from large to small,
is shown above.
